Come and see a working sawmill!

On Fri 6 Jun 2025, Whitney Sawmills is hosting an Open Day. This Open Day is co-hosted with Woodland Heritage as part of the Open Woods & Workshops initiative.

On the day

The day offers bookable tours of the sawmill, alongside an exhibition of makers and stands from businesses associated with the timber industry, including but not limited to; Grown In Britain, The Boat Building Academy and Rolf Hook, who will be unveiling two oak crown sculptures created from the oak crown split at the 2024 open day.

Refreshments

Tea and coffee will be available, as well as the locally renowned Origin Pizza van, which will be on site.
